BULLETINS
The society broadcasts monthly bulletins on the second Sunday of every month. Bulletins from headquarters, Mashonaland and the Matabeleland branches can be heard on 40 metres, 7050 Khz with relays on 2 metres, 20 metres and 80 metres. Frequencies for bulletin broadcasts 20 meter amateur radio band on a frequency of 14,272 MHz upper side band, the 40 meter band on 7,050 MHz lower side band and in the 80 meter band on 3,720 MHz on lower side band
BULLETIN FOR APRIL 1999 Date 11/4/1999_ Time : 9:30 local 7:30 UTCGood Morning, This is Z21JHQ, the headquarters station of the Zimbabwe Amateur Radio Society broadcasting the society monthly bulletin. This bulletin is being broadcast today from the station of Z21KJR on two metres with links to HF and other bands by Z22JE, and is transmitted for the information of members, licensed amateur radio operators and interested listeners. Relays of these bulletins can be heard in the 20 meter amateur radio band on a frequency of 14,272 MHz upper side band, the 40 meter band on 7,050 MHz lower side band and in the 80 meter band on 3,720 MHz on lower side band from station Z22JE. There is also a relay of this bulletin on the Harare Romeo 2 repeater with an output frequency of 145,650 MHz FM. In Bulawayo relay of this bulletin is given by Z2 via the Bulawayo Romeo 2 repeater on FM. Council thanks these stations for their relays. Please tune to the frequency that gives you the best reception. Todays bulletin has been complied and read by Z21KJR. Bulletins are transmitted on the second Sunday of each month at 07:30 hour UTC. Council news : AGM Council wishes to advise all members and interested parties that the Council AGM will be held on the Sunday 23 May 1999 starting at 9:30 local. The venue will be advised together with written notice of the meeting when arrangments have been finilised. Please book this date in you diaries now.
SUBS Also to be noted that society dues are becoming due and the rate as agreed in the last AGM is now $100. Dues should be sent to the treasure, Eric Christer Z21FO via the society mailbox. He will also be attending the Mashonaland branch AGM on the 18 th April and will take the subs at the venue.
RAE The council is also working with the PTC to bring the date for the next RAE forward to July, so if you are working towards writing the exam keep that date in mind. We will advise the exact details when finilised.
ADDRESSES The PTC have also advised that they are trying to make contact with some of the hams who have not renued their licence this year, in some cases the addresses and other details are out of date. If you are in this category please note that they will have to cancel you licence, so please contact them at the main post office or alternativly contact any member of council.
