The Jackpine Savage's didn't really start out as a snowmobile club.  It was just a group of people that got together as often as they could and went out riding their Ski-Doo Elan's.
(Tim Fay "Foolhen Ridge" Feb. '97)
Many of these people had their Elan's long tracked and a few of our members still have them and go on excursions, to the places where even today's modern "Mountain Machine's" could never make it.

They wind through, narrow trees and across steep side hills, and some of these folks have even been know to cut down a tree and use it to cross a gully, that would otherwise be un-passable.
