Friendship Airborne Tours 
Friendship Airborne jumped with the People's Liberation Army Parachute Team in Beijing, China this June 2000.

01 June 2000; Day one- Arrived in Beijing. Stay at Qianmen Hotel.
Day two- Visit PLA army barracks. Afternoon shoot at firing
range with small arms.
Evening welcome banquet.

Friendship Airborne prticipants were also given a tour of the Brigades facilities and mission capabilities. These included a live infantry firepower demonstration of individual and crew served weapons at their weapons range. |

The modern Chinese Soldier is know armed with the latest version of their combat rifle. The woodland pattern camoflage uniform is now standard wear with a ballistic helmet molded in the US PASGT shape but with a 3 point chin strap that similar to the US airborne configuration. They are using the new combat rifle of the PLA that is chambered for a 5.6mm round. Based on the proven AK operating system the new rifle is made of composite materials and in a bulpup configuration that has the magazine behind the pistol grip. This reduces the overall length to 1/3 of a conventional AK weapon. |

Day three- Go Airforce base for parachute ground training.
Day four- Parachute jump.
Day five- Tour Great Wall and Ming Tombs.
Day six- Tour Tien Anmen Square, Forbidden City, temple of Heaven.
Day seven- Fly to Xian visit Bell tower, Big wild Goose Pagoda. Overnight Xian Hotel.
Day eight- Tour terra cotta warriors, Banpo Museum. Evening- enjoy Dan Dynasty Singing and Dancing show and dinner banquet.
Day nine- Return to Beijing leisure time and farewell dinner banquet.
Day ten- Leisure time before departure for airport.
