Rocky Frie, President of Specialty Resources Company of San Pedro, California attended the Philippine Marine Association’s Anniversary Ball and Christmas Party. Rocky former member of the USMC Force Recon visited the Philippines last March 1998 with Friendship Airborne Tours. He was among the 40 participants composed of active, reserve and retired airborne personnel from the US and different countries. They were hosted by the Philippine Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance Battalion, at the Marine Base Ternate Cavite an hour south of Manila. They were welcomed by then Philippine Marine Commandant, Major General Ponciano S. Millena. The participants were oriented with the history of the Philippine Marine Corps and the mission of the Force Reconnaissance Battalion. All those who were going to participate in the water jump attended refresher training emphasizing water-landing procedures. | ||||||||
