The Trail: Trail
following Sucker Creek through various terrain. |
Directions: From Port Orford,
drive north on Highway 101 and turn right(east) on Elk River
Road for 18 miles. Turn right (south) onto road 5325 and continue
for another nine miles until reaching road 3353. Turn left onto
road 3353 and drive it for another 15 miles until reaching road
260. Continue on road 260 for 1.5 miles to the trailhead on
the right side of the road.

following the Chetco River, with views of it's gorge. |
Directions: From Brookings,
drive on road 784 (which later becomes road 1376) for 13 miles
until reaching road 150. Turn left on road 150 to a bridge crossing
the river, where the trail originates.

Directions: From O'brien
(a few miles north of the California border and eight miles
south of Cave Junction), drive west on road 5550 which later
becomes road 4402. Drive this road for nine miles, then turn
right (north) on road 112 to the roads terminous and the trailhead.
