10mm Owners Picture Page
I was thinking if other 10mm enthusiasts would like to show their 10mm beauties (with alias or name
only), then I would be willing to put them up on a seperate page...just a thought. If you would like
to see your 10mm firearms up on this page, just email me a picture with a brief description or modifications,
and whether you want your name used or a psuedonym. =)
My email is: mikjk@hotmail.com
The bigger the number (10K vs 100K) the longer it will be to come up.
(08/08/98)
Would the owner of this Bren Ten please let me know his name? I forgot his name and I can't find his email address and I would like to put a name to the pic...sorry in advance. =)

2. JimmyC's 3" 610 and accessories (91k)
"Lew Horton's Limited Edition Model 610-3 stainless steel double action 6 shot 10mm/.40 S+W revolver with 3" barrel, exposed hammer, adjustable RRWO sighting, and round butt grip. This picture show it wearing a rubber Pachmayr Presentation Compac grips for a S+W "K-frame". The current round butt N-Frame size S+W revolvers have their grips re-sized to L-frame size (which was spec'd as "K-frame" size.) I changed the grips because I preferred the rubber covered backstrap. The solid full-moon rings and the "DEMOONER" tool are by California Competition Works, and were ordered through the Dillon Precision's THE BLUE PRESS catalog. Their website was
www.dillonprecision.com, but it might be down at the moment."
3. NIB 3" 610 (124k)
"This is the limited production (run of 300) Smith & Wesson Model 610-3 with unfluted cylinder and red ramp front sight and adjustable blade white outline rear sight as received new in box. Note S&W's new locking handgun box. It came with 3 "Ranch" split fingered full moon clips, and a master trigger lock (still in styraform wrapping). The wood grips are the factory smooth Dymondwood Combat style, for a round butt grip with the backstrap exposed. Grips come without the usual S+W medallion."

The Marksman Bren Ten was a special run for a store so named. They
were chambered in .45ACP. Don Johnson's character Sonny Crockett had
a Dectonics as a backup weapon.

Sonny Crockett used the Standard Bren Ten for the first two seasons of Miami Vice. The armourer for the show decided to chrome plate the slide and the gun actually fired .45ACP blanks since 10mm blanks didn't exist. I believe that this gun is available for sale to collectors through a dealer in Florida.

8. S&W 646 (72k)
This is a pic of an advertisment for the S&W 646 revolver. The 464 is a .40S&W revolver and is the closest thing to what I really want...an L-frame 10mm. This production run was seriously limited and I believe only between 150 to 300 were produced. The first 464 was presented to Jerry Miculek of speed shooting fame. From feedback from owners, there has been some poor quality control with this run and many have been back to the factory to be cleaned up. Now that S&W has gotten itself in trouble with the agreement with the Clinton Administration, I don't think my dream gun will ever come about...*sigh*

Bryant's rare COLT CUSTOM SHOP Combat Elite 10/40 10mm/.40S&W:
1. Combat Elite, slide closed (68k)
"Shot of the 1040 from the ejection port side, in battery. I forgot to note the installation of an Ed Brown Tactical-Thin Ambi Safety Lever(s). In the gun I have a blued Colt 8 round magazine with rubber floorplate. The top 2 magazines (@bottom of pic) are Chip McCormick 9 round mags & the bottom one is a Colt 8 round mag with Chip McCormick 9 round conversion follower, spring, plate). I have tried using the Wilson's 10mm mags but have found them to not reliably lock the slide open on the last shot. These are now used only for target shooting & in extreme circumstances. Wilson's .45ACP mags also work fine except for the hold open feature."
2. Combat Elite, slide open (63k)
"On these right side shots you may be able to make out the serial number. It reads 1040E096. The words : " *COMBAT ELITE*" are pressed into the right side of the slide. Also visible is the full length Wilson's guide rod. Ammunition used/carried is the CORBON 135gr JHP. After attending several ballistic seminars & witnessing the effects of all types of rounds; I am very confident knowing what this calibre & ammo selection is capable of! ... Custom work includes: Hogue Cocobolo wood Grips, Ed Brown Hex Head grip Screws-blued, Wilson's Arched Mainspring Housing-blued,Wilson's 'Beavertail'(#298 I think) Grip Safety-blued,Wilson's Full Length Dwyer Group Gripper Guide Rod, wilson's 24# Recoil Spring, Wilson's Shok Buffer Pad, Chip McCormick Skeletonized Hammer Sear & Adjustable Carbon Fiber Trigger, Melted & Checkered Slide Lock/Takedown Lever-blued, Wilson's Extra Power Firing Pin Spring, a "Tactical" Extended Magazine Release Button-blued (Chip McCormick I think). I added the pebbled rubber sheet to the front strap to aid in control of the pistol. For this I utilized a small rectangular piece from some Pachmayr slip on grips. This piece was stretched into place and tightened down with the grip screws. I found a piece of steel that had been fashioned into the 1911 version of the Barami hip grip. I utilize this piece during summer months when clothing choices become slim! The piece screws on under the right side grip panel and is jeweled where visible."

Gregory from El Paso's shorty Wyoming 10mm:
1. Wyoming short barreled 10mm (95k)
I have never seen one of these before. They were catalogued, but i did think that a short barreled 10mm REALLY existed before the Glock 29. The Wyoming 10mm shorty preceeds the Glock 29 by quite a few years and it's nice to see one...finally!
Gregory's comments on his gun: "Here is one of those elusive Wyoming 10mm. Although I've heard nothing but bad news about these handguns, this one works fine. I had a qualified gunsmith machine metal part for everything plastic, the 1911 style frame made genuine colt parts possible for these
changes. This gun shoots straight, does not jam (even with hollow points) and has had its share of rounds pass through it over the years. Although its compact design makes it a poor candidate for competition, a perp would not be safe hiding behind a Continental."

Jay's Custom Conversion of a Mauser M2 in .40S&W to 10mm! Very nice job and the conversion doesn't seem too difficult:
1. Shows the mag insert next to the loaded 10mm mag
2. Picture 2
3. Picture 3
4. Picture 4
I used the factory barrel as I have posted here before the M2 uses the same frame slide and barrel blank for all their calibers. Ejection port size is the same. After tapping out the mag insert the only thing left is the barrel. Sig uses a 2piece assembly. the chamber area is a vanadium ring the must be reamed out on a lath. standard reamers hit this ring and dull instantly. pressure is no problem since they use the same blank for the 357sig, 45acp, ect. (My smith called SIG and checked warranty go bye-bye though) The recoil springs too. With the rotating barrel my M2 with WSTHP175 and Blazer 180 TMJ keeps under an inch at 50 feet when I do my part. More than good enough for a combat arm, and so far after over a year and thousands of rounds NEVER EVER a misfeed or malfunction, this also says good things about the 2 ammo mfg its not cheap and takes time here is his number Maxons shooters 1.847.298.4867 his name is Barry. Overall it was really easy.

Wolfie's Delta Elite:
1. Wolfie's Delta with special grips
I have recently purchased this delta elite custom edition but can find no info on it. I got it unfired from a man who bought it new in 1987. It came with two sets of grips, the standard rubber and the ones pictured. The firearm is roll marked with the standard delta elite on left and government on right. It comes in a black plastic case and the i.d. sticker on the top of case reads, delta elite custom edition with the model #02010CTE, the s/n is DE0xxxx. I have attached a pic you my put in your gallery under the name wolfie. I wonder how many were made, I can find no info or pictures of a model
with these grips.
