Hi, and thanks to everyone who has helped me with my Bren Ten questions. I picked up my new Bren Ten on Thursday 1-20-00 and took it to the range the next day to try it out. First thing I want to say is I'm sorry for the guy who had the bad experience with his "new in box" Bren, but that probably had to do with the mag. I want to thank Erv at ESF sales in Pompano FL. for selling me a beautiful gun, also a "new in box" Bren with 2 extra original 10mm mags, plus the .45 conversion slide including the .45 Bren mag to go with it. For a total of 4 mags. Not to mention the locking hard wood display case that holds the gun and the extra slide.

Now back to my range review, I'll make this simple....WOW! I fired all three 10mm mags, single shots and rapid fire. Not one glitch, then I swapped over to the .45 slide, and I'm happy to report the same wonderful experience with all three times I reloaded the mag. I took the gun home cleaned and oiled everything and put it back in it's display case. Surprisingly people at the range knew what I was shooting and a crowd began to form. I do believe if they reintroduced the Bren Ten it would be a top seller. I'm going to send in pictures of my gun in it's display case to the 10mm page so you all can see it. Ahhhh...that's nore like it :))
I suspect the mags were the main problem with the Bren that was malfunctioning. Repo mags are iffy at best. I bought some for my CZ-75 and they were miserable...not locking in properly and malfunctions like crazy. At the darn repo mags are $115 which is a lot of cash for defective mag. Glad to hear yours is working properly. What ammo did you use in it?

BTW...I had a Bren 10 sighting a few days ago. An Arnold Schwarzenegger movie (Last Action Hero I think). The bad guy had a Bren 10.
