GUNUNG BUNGA BUAH

The word 'bunga buah' means the 'flower of a fruit'. However, very few flowers are found. Instead, the place is filled with beautiful bonzai trees still untouched and waiting for to be explored.

Situated at Genting Highland, this mountain is the nearest to Kuala Lumpur. The hike up and down this mountain is just 4 hours. And the foot is just 1 hour away from Kuala Lumpur. However, climbers always spend their night at the summit to have a spectacular view of one of the most beautiful city in the world (Kuala Lumpur) at night. The spectacular view of Kuala Lumpur at night from this elevation is a must for photograpic enthusiast. It is like taking a helicopter flight over the city, while enjoying the fresh and calm surroundings. With the newly built Twin Tower and KL Tower, this is the best place to view both architectural giants. Camera and binoculars is a must. The best view is just before the sunrise, which is around 5 a.m.

Gunung Bunga Buah provides the best choice for travellers to Kuala Lumpur to experience the Malaysian rainforest at a minimal time. I would really suggest tourist to Kuala Lumpur who has one day and a night to spare to visit this mountain. Here are the recommended fixture for Bunga Buah.

To get to the foot of mountain:
From Pudu Raya Bus Terminal (Kuala Lumpur), take a bus to Pekeliling (half hour ride). Then take another bus in direction to Genting Highland, but stop on the way. The entrance to the trek is 2 kilometer walk from there. (Note: To save time, driving up to the foot is better option.)

Mountain Guides:
Not necessary. But it is good to go with some one who has gone before.
