* 2nd Cycle Education

B.Sc in Agricultural Engineering. Five study years (10 semesters) with Thesis. A minimum of 180 credit hours is required. (1 credit hour = 1 lecture hour or 2 lab. hours per week). The first 2 years are devoted to basic subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry etc.). Three month practical training is required between the fourth and fifth year. Time schedules: 5th of October till end of January (1st semester). February till end of June (2nd semester). Greek language.

* Postgraduate Education

Two years study programme leading to M.Sc. in Water Resources, or in Soil Science or in Farm Machinery. Research thesis is required. M.Sc. in Water Resources includes specialisation in Agricultural Hydraulics, Surface or Ground-Water Hydrology, Water Quality etc.

* Doctorate

Doctorate degree is offered by research. M.Sc. is required. Approximately 3 years.

* Accommodation

Housing is available in student dormitories. Price: 500-1500 Drachmas per day (about 2-3 ECU) Meals are offered at the University restaurant.

* Language Teaching

The School of Modern Greek Language of AUTH organises intensive courses in Greek language for students of European Universities, within the Community programmes. The courses take place twice a year in the beginning of each academic semester and last four weeks: a. September 15 - October 15 and b. February. Language instruction is offered at 3 levels: beginners, intermediate and advanced. This depends on language proficiency and the number of interested students. The classes are held for four hours per day, five days a week.
