ETNET-WATER: European Thematic Network of Education and Training for WATER
Project: 25899-CP-1-96-1-BE-ERASMUS-ETN
The thematic network WATER is established
- to provide a global forum and to build an existing partnership between academia and non-academia interested in education and training
- to organise a standing conference where topics of mutual interest can be freely and easily proposed and discussed in an efficient way
- to foster the development of joint programmes and projects
- to explore a suitable form of ECTS to cover those transnational postgraduate and training activities
to promote intensive interdisciplinary cooperation between water related departments of universities
- to improve understanding and to broaden the knowledge of the water problems in Europe
These overall objectives can best be achieved through five Specific Projects, each addressing a range of topics selected to meet their main objectives:
A. European postgraduate degree in hydrology and water management
B. European graduate school of hydraulics
C. Forum for open and distance learning (ODL) for water
D. Continuing professional development programme (CPDP) for water
E. A European paradigm for integrated water management.
* Project Management
