The International Water Supply Association ( IWSA ) have organised the Maarten Schalekamp Award to be held in Madrid,
Spain in September 1997. The awards will be given out to the authors who have produced the most outstanding written
papers on water supply subjects. Candidates who would like to submit their work or would like some more information should contact :

These awards are intended to assist students and young scientists to attend the forthcoming EUG 9 meeting in Strasbourg by providing a financial support to their travel expenditures (maximum 2000FF).
To qualify for an award the applicant must:
(1). Normally be less than 30 years old on 31 December 1997 although this age limit may be extended slightly to accommodate a student's training period.
(2). Intend to present a paper at the EUG 9 meeting of which he or she is the principal author.
(3). Provide a written statement of support from his or her research supervisor or department head.
(4). Submit a completed application form together with the abstract to the EUG Office before 15 November 1996.
(5). Register before the deadline of 31 December 1996 with full payment received at the EUG Office.
