FORMAQUAPILOT
Water Environment Information Bulletin
Water industry sector has greatly changed in last years, especially for the connection
to the problems related to water quality and environment protection.
It's common need in this sector to improve the quality service: one of the main
factor affecting the quality service improvement is represented by a proper
employees training.
All the partners, taking into account several training initiatives, have pointed
out a general need for training and moreover a lack of homogeneity at
European level.
The aim of this pilot project is to satisfy some of these training needs
and to develop a European dimension in vocational training and vocational
guidance. With this purpose some pilot training modules will be assessed in
each Country of the partnetship to test them in different situation. The
training module will take into account the possibility to develop some
basic principles which could be recognized in the water industry sector.
The partnership involved in this project is the same who carried out
FORMAQUA project: "Recognition of training needs in water industry sector
through Member States" (I/95/2105/III.2.a/FPI): in this recognition the analysis
of the actual situation has been used to forecast the future needs and methodologies
to reach high level quality in training activities
The link between this project and FORMAQUA could be
useful in defining contents for modules, course development principles and delivery
stratagies.
The pilot project will:
- examine the kind of training methods which are more interesting and more
efficient for the training programs;
- characterize the workers categories which are more needy of training;
- settle example of training modules in the partnership Countries (
Italy, Belgium and France), in connection with the results of Formaqua project;
- check the results of the training modules to establish the real effectiveness of the
pilot training programs and the possibility to recognize officially the training
activities at European level.
Workers involved in water industry sector will be the direct beneficiaries. Public
and Private Water distribution companies together with water authorities will be
also important beneficiaries because they will have the possibility to rely on
high level training quality for their workers.
At the end of the project 2 months will be dedicated to the evaluation of the
effectiveness of the training modules and consequently also the results of the
Formaqua project on which the training activities
have been modulated.
The dissemination of the final results through the network structures provided by
the partnership will be carried out all around Europe, particularly in the
Countries of the partnetship.
The dissemination will be carried out through a series of meetings with the private
and public bodies which are most involved in the water resources management sector.
All organisation who received the results of the Formaqua
project will receive also the results of the experimentation carried out with
Formaquapilot project, in order to have the evidence that the results of the data
collection have been really tested on the workforce of the water industry.
Strict evaluation criteria will be used for each phase of the project, regarding
particulary:
- the contents and delivery of the training;
- the methods employed to achieve the objectives;
- the effiiency and the working methods of the partnership;
- the relevance of the results to the needs which have been identified;
- the dissemination and transfer methods.
