Introduction to The Journal of Biblical Accuracy
1. What is its purpose?
The Journal of Biblical Accuracy is a non-denominational Christian journal whose aim is to teach the Word of God accurately and serve through this way the one body of Christ. The position of this journal is that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and it is absolutely accurate in the originals. We care not whether what we write agrees with what most people believe or not believe as long as it is the rightly divided Word of God. What is presented here is not presented to people to leave their own study of the Word, but to study it against and together with the Word of God. The reader therefore is encouraged to check what we say here, not against his/her particular beliefs, as we may not agree with them (we don’t care for such agreement), but against the Word of God, our sole concern.2. What is its history and where is it sent?
The Journal of Biblical Accuracy started to be issued in January 1996 in Leicester, UK. It is presently issued in three forms and two languages. The three forms are:
I) The electronic form. It is called "The Journal of Biblical Accuracy". Apart from the present site, it also works through a mailing list.
II) The printed English version. This is called “Biblical Insights”. It is in the form of a booklet, and is sent to people that don’t have an email address. It is also sent on a quarterly basis to the libraries of 200 Bible colleges and Universities in USA, UK, Canada and New Zealand.
III) The Greek version called “Biblikes Alithies” (Biblical Truths). This is sent to Christians in Greece. It also has its own site on the Internet at the following address: http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Troy/3661/
All the three versions together (excluding the libraries version) have now over 1700 subscribers from 59 countries of the world1.3. How can you support us?
One way to support us is by praying for us. I do need this support very much and I would be grateful if you could keep me in your prayer list.
Another way of supporting us is financially. None of the forms of this journal is sent on the basis of a subscription fee nor are we supported by an organization, but solely by those of you that would like to support us. If therefore the Lord puts in your heart to support us, please do it by writing a cheque payable to: ANASTASIOS KIOULACHOGLOU, and post it to: Anastasios Kioulachoglou, Vassilissis Olgas 165, 546 45, GREECE.
Each month we give a balance that you can see by clicking here.4. Can you copy the articles?
Of course you can. The Journal of Biblical Accuracy is not copyrighted. Therefore, you don't need to ask me to copy, distribute and use the articles for the purpose they have been written to i.e. to teach the Word of God. I don't care whether you will make mention of myself as the author.5. Who I am
Finally a few words about me. My name is Anastasios (Tassos) Kioulachoglou. I’m a male, I'm single and I was born in a village of central Greece in October 1969. I have studied Economics in Greece (B.A (Thessaloniki)) and in England [(M.A. (Essex), Ph.D (Leicester)]. I’m currently working in Thessaloniki as a cost controlling consultant of SAP Hellas.
I was introduced to the Word of God in 1991 when I was a student in Thessaloniki. From 1993 to 1996 I used to live in UK where, from 1994 to 1996, I used to run fellowships and Bible studies in Leicester. A fruit of those fellowships is the Journal of Biblical Accuracy. Presently, we have fellowships running at my home (Vassilissis Olgas 165, Thessaloniki) every Thursday at 9:00 p.m. If you are in the area and would like to attend please contact me (tel. 0030 - 31 - 856926). Finally, here is a photo of me.
I consider myself as a member of the ONE body of Christ to which I have been set to serve. I consider all those that call Jesus Christ Lord and believe that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9) as my brothers irrespective of the particular denomination to which they may belong. Finally, I consider the Lord Jesus Christ, whose head is God (I Corinthians 11:3), as my only boss, the only boss of the church (Ephesians 1:22) and thus the only responsible to define the function of each of its members.
