Saturday 18th November, 2000

The annual Victorian Crabbet Arabian Horse Group Inc. show will hold classes for Pure Crabbet and 75% Crabbet Crabbet Arabians. There will also be a full 'A' Class program for Pure and Derivative Arabians irrespective of the crabbet breeding. The show is a major event for saddle horses. Our Judge for the Show will be Mr Peter UPTON from the U.K..

After the show there will be a cocktail party along with registration at the Chifley on Flemington, welcoming all our overseas guests and giving everyone a chance to meet and get to know each other.

Sunday 19th November, 2000

At the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds there will be a parade of Crabbet and Crabbet related horses representing the Pure Crabbet horses imported into Australia. These horses will be shown in family groups, both led and under saddle. Also special demonstrations of dressage to music and harness demonstrations.

Monday 20th November, 2000

The conference will be held at the Chifley on Flemington with informative talks from:-

Mr Peter Upton (U.K.) Past President of the Brittish Arabian Horse Society, noted Author, historian and artist

Mrs Carol Woodbridge-Mulder (U.S.A.) A renowned author and researcher of the Arabian horse. Carol also worked at Kelloggs Ranch, a majopr importer to the U.S.A. of Crabbet stock

Mrs Coralie Gordon (Aus) Noted author and editor of Australia's Crabbet Annual

All participants will have the chance to exchange ideas and information in this forum. There has already been a great responce from the U.S.A. - so come on - don't miss it!!

Tuesday 21st November, 2000

There will be a morning visit to Healesville Sanctuary, Australia's premier forna and flora wildlife park. You will be able to interact with Australian wildlife (Koalas, Kangaroos, Wombats, etc) This is a must see!!

The conference will then adjourn to Victorian Tourist Award winning 'De Bortoli's Winery and Restaurant' which is nestled in the picturesque Yarra Valley.

After partaking in lunch and wine tastings, the group will travel down to Fenwick Stud, Australia's oldest continuous stud. Fenwick Stud imported several horses directly from Crabbet Park and still breed horses of pure Crabbet lineage. A walk through the Fenwick paddocks will be followed by an Australian B.B.Q dinner. The evening will then be capped off with original footage of several of the Crabbet imports to Australia.
