Men of Warwick

Geoffrey Baudesworth (Jeff Masiello)

Geoffrey Baudesworth, born in the year of our Lord 1435.

As a young man Geoffery was inseperable from his father, Edmund.  Edmund
was part of the standing garrison and had the fortune of being stationed
at Warwick castle as a longbowman.  Geoffrey learned a great deal at the
castle, mostly from his father's companions.  He was taught the art of
the longbow and how to properly belch at a meal, both of which he
studied in great detail.  Eventually, he was permitted to join the
garrison and be by his fathers side in 1454.  Life had been very good to
Geoffrey up until now.  That all changed at the battle of St. Albans in
1455 where his father was struck down by a Lancastrian knight.  Upon
return to the castle and under the Nevill's good graces, he was
permitted to replace, or attepmt to replace, his father on the wall.
His mother was taken in as a maidservant and the two keep in touch.

As an aside, Edmund was also a proficient musician well known for his
playing of the harp at feasts.  Geoffrey, though sorely lacking in this
area, still tries to play in an attempt to follow in his fathers
footsteps.  It is met with varying degrees of acceptance.
