Reenactment/Recreation/Living History Groups

Wolfe's Company
Wolfe's Company was founded in 1987 by a group of re-enactors with a desire to increase public knowledge of the Hundred Year's War. Throughout the years Wolfe's Company has portrayed different time periods and types of soldiers. Currently they are re-enacting a group of 15th century soldiers in the household of Lord Grey of Codnor during the first half of the Wars of the Roses.
The Red Company
The Red Company is a group of avid history buffs who think there's more to history than dates, dead guys, and boring catalogs of facts compiled by dried up historians.  Their goal is to know how people really lived during the period of history known as the Wars of the Roses. Several times a year, the Company portrays a continental military company in the service of Burgundy in the year 1471.  Based in California, USA
Company of the Wolfe Argent
The Company of the Wolfe Argent portrays both day to day and military aspects of 15th century medieval society. Civilian impressions are encouraged. Burgundian ordinance company in the service of Charles Valois, known as Charles the Bold, Duke of Burgundy, 1467-1477.  New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts in the USA.
ye Companie of Yeoman Archers
The Companie of Yeoman Archers is a small group of performers that gets together a few times a year to shoot authentic longbows, drink ale, share in hearty feasts, and recreate a military encampment of the sort one might have found in 15th century England & the European continent.  Although the scope of their presentations covers the period from the Battle of Agincourt (1415) to the Battle of Bosworth Field (1485), they  are currently concentrating on the Wars of the Roses era. The majority of their activites take place in Southern California, USA. 
Medieval Siege Society
Re-enacts the conflicts & campaign life of the high medieval period, more specifically, the Wars of the Roses and the Hundred Years' War (circa 1350-1490). At present the largest medieval re-enactment group in the UK.
Neville Household
The Neville Household participates in The Wars of the Roses Federation shows around the country of England, as well as local shows for charities and also at Peveril castle, Castleton.  They demonstrate fighting techniques, weaponry and clothing of the period. They also have close links with the University of Sheffield Medieaeval Society.

The Gun Company (15th Century Artillery Re-enactment)
The Gun Company is a 15th Century historical re-enactment group specialising in battle re-enactment rather than Living History. They are members of The Wars of the Roses Federation, and normally fight for the Yorkist cause. 
Oxford Household
Medieval society of approx. 40 people all interested in re-enacting  the period 1450 to 1490 covering the Wars of the Roses. They portray the household of John de Vere Earl of Oxford and have a large and varied authentic camp complete with banners, drummers and craft workers.  They are members of the Wars of the Roses Federation.
Rosa Mundi Mediaeval Re-enactment Society
Rosa Mundi is a mediaeval re-enactment society which is based in Redcar, Cleveland (England)  The society specialises in life in the last quarter of the fifteenth century.

Bodrugan Household
The Bodrugan household is a new medieval re-enactment group that are based in Cornwall and use the Bodrugan name and Coat of Arms in events, mainly of the War of the Roses period.  (England)
The White Company
The White Company was founded in 1983 to try and dispel some of the myths surrounding the period of English history known as 'The Wars of the Roses', primarily by attempting the realistic portrayal of the lives experienced by ordinary men and women. The society's principal strength is its attention to authenticity and detail which is combined with a friendly, 'hands-on', approach to sharing our knowledge. Members are encouraged to become involved in genuine research and the society supports projects which push back the bounds of knowledge of the period.  (England)

Medieval Free Company
A non-profit living history group specialising in the Wars of the Roses period of 1400 to 1485.  Membership largely in the west of England and Wales.
Corridors of Time
Corridors of Time is a fully professional Historical Presentations Company that offers British Historical eras at KS2 and KS3 levels, from Celtic through to post World War 2, including the National History Curriculum topics of Invaders & Settlers (Romans, Saxons, Vikings), Medieval Realms, Formation of Great Britain 1500 - 1750 A.D., Victorians and Britain since the 1930's. Corridors of Time is well known for its' participation in film and television productions, public events and education.

The Richard III and Yorkist History Server
Site devoted to King Richard III, last of the medieval English kings,  the Wars of the Roses, a dynastic struggle in the later middle ages that pitted Yorkist against Lancastrian, fifteenth-century England and its culture, and the reputation of Richard III in history, literature, and drama, especially Shakespeare. 
English Heritage
English Heritage is concerned with every building and site in the country which contributes to England's historic environment and our  understanding of the past.  This site contains information on archaeology, places to visit, national monuments, and architecture.  Custodians of various historical sites.
Renaissance Historical Dance Society
Renaissance Established in 1994, is a Devonshire (UK) based  Historical Dance Group specialising in the performance of; 15th, 16th  and 17th Century dances from England and the Continent.

Castles of Britain
Group dedicated to the promotion and study of British Castles. Their goals are educating and stimulating people to explore the castles of Britain.
Castles of Wales
The Castles of Wales web site offers more than just photographs of various Welsh castles. The pages there provide information on over 400 different Welsh castles found throughout the land, as well as profiles of the men responsible for their construction, and the turbulent times in which they lived. They cover a wide range of topics related to Welsh castles and Welsh medieval history, and most of the essays are accompanied by high quality photographs.
 Barley Hall
Barley Hall is a restored late medieval town house, which the York Archeological Trust is refurbishing as it might have appeared in about 1483. This site displays some pictures from the house, along with descriptions.
Town of Tewkesbury 
Tewkesbury Web is the online information page for the historic English country town nestled among the Cotswold and Malvern Hills in Gloucestershire, England. 
Market Bosworth
Market Bosworth is a countryside town situated in the heart of rural England.   The streets, buildings and the central market square remain just as they were 200 years ago, and the battlefield as a shrine to Richard III who was slain, back in 1485 in the historic Battle of Bosworth.

Page contains an inventory of the appendix to in The Battle of Bosworth (1985), by Michael Bennett.  This appendix contains reprints of the relevant extracts of contemporary accounts and Tudor histories including information on the Battle of Bosworth.  This erves as a comprehensive bibligraphy of fifteenth- and sixteenth-century sources in its own right. 
Mediaeval Sword Resource Site
This noncommercial site has been established in order to provide information of interest to students and collectors of European Dark and Middle Ages swords and other edged weapons, with a particular focus on the swords of the Viking Age.

Academy of European Medieval Martial Arts  (A.E.M.M.A.) 
The mission of A.E.M.M.A is to resurrect the combat skills, philosophies and principles of an accomplished European Medieval martial artist and to achieve a state of which would be consistent with that of a 15th century warrior in both technology and ideal.

HACA is an informal club of arms and armor enthusiasts and practitioners dedicated to exploring and reconstructing our Western martial heritage.  HACA was established to promote the study of historical European arms and armor from the perspective of their historic function and use.  (USA)

War of the Roses Listserve
A list serve for the discussion of re-enacting the Wars of the Roses and 15th Century topics in general.  Site contains an archive of past discussions as well as a calendar, polls, and a chat room.
Call to Arms
Call to Arms lists all the societies and associations which are directly involved in Living History, as well as those which
come into regular contact with the field or have activities which are closely related to Re-enactment.  Call to Arms also lists all the traders and companies which directly supply and support Re-enactors or who have goods or services which are of interest to Re-enactment.
The Living History Register
The Living History Register is a non-profit making magazine that exists to encourage all those interested in historical re-enactments and living history. It is run entirely by volunteers who are all keen re-enactors themselves.
