It is rare to get everyone suited up and gathered in one place, so pictures seemed appropriate.

It seems that the thing that we do most the time is sit around the camp fire.  Socializing, eating, drinking, talking, working on gear, and even discussing history are a few of  the things that we do while idling the time away.

One of the best (or worst, depending on who you ask) things about reenacting is teaching the public about history.   We try to keep someone on "guard" duty at the entry to our camp, in order to answer people's questions and invite them into our camp.  For some reason, the public seems to think we bite!   After the tourney demo, the fighters also answered questions from the public.

MTA is a judged event and one of the categories judged is a live demo for the public.  For this year, we had a team tourney between two different sides of our group.  The judges, unfortunately, didn't like the fact that the soldiers were swinging their swords a bit too enthusiastically, but everyone had a lot of fun.

Lucky for John he had a suit of plate on, because these children were vicious!

One of the best things about MTA is that it is a multi-century event with all sorts of neat reenactment camps.  I happened to really like the WW2 groups, so that is what most of the other pictures are of.  Try to find the rats in some of the pictures. There are also pirates, Landsknechts, Germans, Americans, Brits, and even some Donut Dollies.
