'basic Tricks'

throw down

• hold your arm like your flexing muscle but so your hand nearly touches your shoulder.

• quickly unravel your arm so you outstretch your fingers and the yoyo comes flying down at the ground fast.

• when the yoyo hits the bottom of the string tug it up so it comes back to your hand.

HOP the fence

• do a throw down or a sleeper.

• when the yoyo comes up, let it jump over your hand and go down again for another throw down or a sleeper.

Sleeper

• hold your arm like your flexing muscle but so your hand nearly touches your shoulder.

• quickly unravel your arm so you outstretch your fingers and the yoyo comes flying down at the ground fast.

• once the yoyo's at the bottom of the string spinning on it's own, turn your hand around so your palm is facing the ground.

• tug at the string for the yoyo to come back up.

Forward pass

• let your arm hang verticaly down with your hand clenched holding the yoyo with the back of your hand facing forward.

• unravel your hand flicking the yoyo forward and upward.

• let it get to the end of the string and let it bounce back so you catch it.

Breakaway

• hold your yo arm out like your flexing your biceps out sideways.

• throw down a sleeper that doesn't go straight down but so it travels sideways across your body at the end of the string.

• once it's reached across your body so it's horizontal.

• tug the string so the yoyo comes back to your hand.

inside Loop

• do the start of a forward pass but while the yoyo's going out turn your hand so the palm is facing left.

• as the yoyo is coming back, let it come in close to the palm of your hand.

• when it comes back, don't catch it but jerk your hand so it flies back out without you touching it.

• you can then catch it or go for another.
