This site remains up because - basically - I put a lot of effort into it and I hope that it remains as a tribute to how great the show WAS... unfortunately, turning it into the Maggie Hour has driven MANY fans off.. and - one wonders - Jerry himself????
And before those Maggie - lovers start emailing me in protest - forget it!

Well it seems that all our letters and emails were to no avail this time. Jerry O'Connell and Charlie O'Connell have both been confirmed as being for next season. (See that SciFi... still going to deny it??? )
How they will write out Quinn, we cant be sure. Maybe they'll pull another clunker like the way they disposed of Wade. Wasn't THAT well thought out ??? Hmmm if you noted more than a hint of sarcasm there.. you weren't wrong!
Unfortunately, I had heard this a while ago, and I had to keep quiet about it.. but now it was announced at DragonCon. I'd like to see how the people at SciFi Channel handle this ... considering they were so quick in telling us (that took the time to write to them) that NO ONE was leaving and that someone was just spreading rumours. Now, of course, it appears that SciFi DO NOT know if their A's are on fire!!! I'm sorry, I will not give them any benefit of the doubt. They were curt and rude and evasive when asked (by MANY fans) a simple question.
I hope they dont get the rights to use Jerry's likeness actually. (They wanted his likeness for a story where Quinn morphs in the opening scene of the 1st episode of Season 5... More thoughts on that later... ) I know it would be one way of getting a closure to Quinn.. but you know what? I dont care. I'd derive MORE satisfaction from watching the season opener and seeing what sort of bungled attempt their writer's managed in order to write out a character they seemed incapable of negotiating successfully with in the first place.
I read where Marc stated that things were fine between Jerry and SciFi.. but you know.. I'm a suspicious person by nature. Why would one person, who had nothing to gain to say it, tell us things were bitter then Marc turn around and say, "Oh no.. they're fine... it's Jerry's AGENT that wants him to move on..." I think Mr Scott Zircee is white washing us a little.. and fair enough, because he doesn't want to be the one who let the cat out of the bag...so to speak.
And if things were soooo fine.. why wouldn't Jerry say.. "to hell with it.. I'll come back for the one show.. and we'll get rid of Quinn.. and THEN I'll move on to my brilliant new career..'
I think things are not what they seem (well they never are.. ) and maybe Quinn, Colin, Wade and the Professor can one day turn up in a second series..... with many guest appearances from Cleavant Derricks of course!
It will be sad to see Quinn leave (we'll will we see him leave?) but if Marc has his way, it would be a closure involving Colin AND Wade.... (must have been all my manic emails to him regarding Wade.. hahahhaa)
Another sad note is that Marc Scott Zircee will not be back next year. I have to wonder what sort of show it's going to turn out to be....??
I really feel for Cleavant and Kari... I wish them all the very best for thenew season... cos I think SLIDERS is really going to need it.
About the morphing bit. I dont know what happens at the end of the season 4.. but if Quinn and Colin ARE still brothers.. why dont they just make it that it's natural for the people of that earth to automatically morph at a special time (cant be a birthday - unless they set it two years ahead and say it was the 28 birthday or something.. so that Colin AND Quinn both changed within that time) Let's face it.. You saw the parents of Quinn.. they weren't his earth parents even though they were meant to be their doubles.. so maybe they all morph.. and look different.. that way.. when we meet up with them again.. we have a Quinn and a Colin.. only they look different...
BUT................
If you want my honest opinion though.. I think it's wrong to replace the characters with new actors. I, too, would like to see Wade and Quinn meet up again.. and together with Colin.. they decide to settle down.. but why not Maggie?? Cos she cant breath on Earth Prime (and the one they found in Genesis WAS NOT the real Earth Prime) and Rembrandt... who has fallen in love with her, decides to go with her.... there.. all's well that ends well.... :)
And it's a happy ending for all :) except Colin who doesn't end up with anyone... oh hang on.. I've got people battering down the door here.. offering to be the COW that he ends up with that week :)))
I'd really like to see Maggie and Remmie explore their cool friendship.. it's very nice :)
Anyhow.. enough rambling from me... I'm off.... enjoy the basement..

In honour of the new line up in the new season (4th Season that is) I have decided to overhaul Quinn's Basement and just do a general tidy up. I hope you like the changes I have made. Let me know if some of the links or backbuttons no longer work, wont you!

what's with the old gif? Well... I may have to accept the new line up....doesn't
mean I have to like it! So, until I actually see the new show, this gif of our four
faithful friends remains as a reminder of how good the show was and hopefully, now that it
is away from the evil clutches of FOX, will be again.
'God Speed' to Marc Scott Zircee (Head Writer) and Jerry O'Connell (Producer) and team - Let's hope they are heading down the same path to repair the work so badly damaged by the FOX Netwits last season. Let's hope there's less doom and gloom and guns, and a little more fun! Like it used to be.
