Well... lot's has been happening around the basement at the moment.. I have received yet another feedback from SciFi Channel basically asking us fans to stick our head in the sand over this Jerry O'Connell thing.. and basically - I wont! I know that this is going to come out soon.. and I'm sorry that there's a STRONG possibility that we will lose Quinn...

Especially after the episode I watched tonight... DATA WORLD.. it was certianly one cool episode. A roller coaster ride, if you will... and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was curious right until the end and I thought the ending was good too. Many, many funny lines.. not all of them Rembrandt's this time.. but you'll have to wait until another night for me to load My First Impressions... Sorry. All I will say is this.... Colin looks very good when he sword fights :) and kick boxes :)) ;-D Sincerely - see it!

Corruption is rife in SliderVision.. and this weekend we're having a treat for the JODsers... (but those of us who aren't will enjoy the fun as well ;-D ). The viewing on Saturday night is Joe's Apartment.... the MTV movie Jerry did whilst filming (I believe) Season 2 of Sliders.... It's a very funny show.. and *yes* it is the Roach show!

On a more personal note, I'm pretty excited that I have been asked to submit one of my FanFictions to be read out at DragonCon next week. I couldn't ask for a nicer show of support for my work than this offer... and I'm sincerely touched that anyone would consider my work worthy of this... I have chosen Chance Meeting... mainly because it's a Season 4 one.. and it's a short one too!
I hope those that attend DragonCon like it.. and if they haven't read it before, will come and read my work. I have 25 stories online now.. and 9 (oh, make that 10 - thanks Tf ;-D ) - stories in progress... so as you can see.. stuff will be going up soon.... hopefully.

Well, I've been getting a bit of positive feedback from some of you, which is great :) thanks.
I've been just pottering around down here tonight. I've placed the Mini-Series (the World Series and the Hurricane series) into their own section in the Library now, and removed them from the Top Shelf.
I've put Chance Meeting into the Library now.. through the P:WQ section (naturally!)
I've been fixing up bits and pieces all around the place.. adding new things to the Content List.. so you must make sure you hit RELOAD FRAME over the next few weeks.. cos stuff might be changing every day.
The Library ISN'T what I want it to be yet.. but I'm so busy with everything else.. that it's had to wait... yet again. I'm hoping to design it to open into it's own window.. that way it will take up the full page and not appear in that little window on the site. I intend to design it so that there are chapters.. (It's come to my attention that a few of my stories are rather long! hahahaa so by putting in chapters along the side (like the content bar here ) it will be easier for the reader to leave it and come back to it later. It will also have the title permanently over it .. so as you scroll up the title will stay (like Quinn's Basement at the top there).

Well after a brief spell where we closed the doors for some spring cleaning.. QB has now been reopened. The addy has been masked and for some of you , that may be a problem, unfortunately it is unavoidable.. it's either masking or removing from the site.. I think masking was the better option.

The fight to save the O'Connell Brothers is still raging as we speak. SciFi Channel's own.. SciFi Wire Magazine has put up Poll .. where fans get to vote on whether Colin was a worthy Slider in Season 4. I'd say he was unused (up to the last episode I've seen which was Net Worth) but certainly not unworthy. So a cause worth fighting for in my books :)
Latest news is that Jerry' *people* have knocked back the SciFi's offer of if HE does three episodes then Charlie can do six.. Jerry want's little brother in full time employment it seems.
There's a LOT of arguing going on at the moment on the Internet.. I only hope they guys know what sort of support that are getting here. I have personally received a reply from the SciFi Channel's Feedback line... Basically denying everything and saying that rumours are not true... Hmmm sure... I *believe* them, don't you??
They must think that their viewers are idiots.. but I bet this whole thing has really surprised them.. They are desperate to keep Jerry.. and I think they are blown away by the fact that a LOT of fans are writing to them saying to leave Colin alone and let Jerry go....
Let's face it.. the guy wants to move on... let him GO! Don't think for a minute I'd not miss Quinn... but you know, I'm not selfish enough to think anyone has to stay in a show just to appease me! I doubt many fans would..and I think that's something the SciFi Channel are learning - fast!
As FS said, so pointedly, isn't it a shame that NO ONE can leave SLIDERS on a happy note? Tracy Torme was so uptight by the direction FOX wanted to take the show that he had to leave, for his own sanity! John Rhys-Davies left as he was disgruntled with the direction of the character... Sabrina Lloyd left (the Official Reason ) to pursue other avenues.. (the Unofficial reason) because FOX preferred the LOOK of Kari over her..and supported Kari as the only female lead in the new season..
Now Jerry is fighting bitterly to leave the show that HE has given four good years to... sheesh! some gratitude. I know SciFi are worried about losing the guy that makes SLIDERS their BEST EVER rating show... but treatment like this is only going to make us viewers thing less and less of the show...

New season begins filming in late Sept/early Oct (I believe).. and I have to wonder how they are going to write scripts given the current status of the actors. What sort of scripts will we be dealt in the new season? Hopefully one not as badly WORDED as that terrible Genesis was.... crappy and full of convenient explanations.. yukkies!!!

I hope you like the new look basement. Quinn and I have been busily moving furniture.. let's face it.. if he's not coming back next year.. he's going to be spending a LOT more time down here *sigh*.. so I guess we needed to give him a little more space! I'm hoping the FRAMES will make navigating your way around the site a WHOLE lot easier. Instead of a BACK button - I've put a FRONT DOOR for you to click on.. so that you'll always go back to the index page that way. Otherwise.. you just select what you want off the side menu list.. and GO !!!

Firstly, thanks to all those that sent me birthday wishes :) It really brightened up my day. Considering this was the same day we learnt that SciFi Channel said to Jerry.. stay or your brother goes.. hmm well it wasn't a good start to my day, let's just say that much. I seem to be defending the guy's right to leave Sliders a lot! I just hope if he goes he's successful. I enjoy watching him work.. and will miss him if he does a Caruso!

Okay. I watched "Mother and Child" tonight. Not a fantastic episode and I could have strangled Quinn within the first 20 minutes. For more info on that you'll have to wait until I've done up my "First Impression" page. I wont put spoilers here - sorry!

I have uploaded a start to a NEW series in my FanFiction section. This is called the Hurricane Series.. and I hope it's as popular as the World Series was.... the response to that series blew me away :)
I have also uploaded a story that I wrote today in one sitting. I hope you like it. It's a wee one.. only 8 pages long! It's called Chance Meeting. It's being sent to the PWQ list as well.

If he does leave Sliders.. I wish him all the best.. and I hope that the PTB at SciFi keep Charlie on. I'm enjoying Colin... and maybe out from under the shadow of Quinn.. he will really shine!
All I want to say is this to SciFi channel. Dont hang Charlie like a carrot infront of Jerry. Let Jerry return for those three eps only. If your writers cant think of a plausible storyline.. do you have talented enough writers for the next series then?
Let Jerry direct and write some. I'd rather watch an episode I know he's directed than have him lose touch with the show altogether...

I have put up my idea for a FINAL episode with Quinn. There's great debate at the moment as to HOW will they write out Quinn... so I got to thinking... I'd love for Jerry to get a juicy DEATH scene.... he'd be sooooooo cool in that... but then I thought.. well *I* think it should go a little something like this...... Bring your sense of Humour!

Sad sad news.. Jerry looks like he is NOT returning to season 5.. which is met on some days by me as good news and on others (like today) as devastating news :((((((((
Why is it devastating today? 'Cos last Friday I got to see Lipschitz Live... and it was Friggin Fantastic.. my Friends :)))))))))))
Quinn was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo yummy in this episode.. he SMILES (taaa daaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!) and it was FUNNY and well written and surprisingly well Directed..... by Jerry O'Connell himself(probably the first ep he's ever directed that I've liked!!). If you want to see my thought s of it.. go here. This is a NEW section I'm introducing to QB called.... "My first Impressions......" and I'll be looking at the Episodes as they air here and telling you (good or bad) what I thought of them. The one's I've missed will be caught up soon - I promise!
Apart from that GREAT NEWS that Cleavant has Re-Signed for Season 5 already. They dont think Charlie will be hard to re-sign and Kari is holding out for more money. Now excuse me please (Saucer of milk for table 10 in QB please!) but while Maggie HAS improved.. I'm not that convinced by Waggie! I must say and I wish it would get through to the Powers that Be there that Kari is FANTASTIC in comedy roles!!! Absolutely fantastic! And she works so beautifully with Cleavant Derricks.. as did Sabrina Lloyd... as some one pointed out somewhere.. maybe it's his level of SKILL that just helps bring it out in his co-stars. All I know is that I LOVE to write for Remmie because I CARE for the character sooooo much more than the others (shhh dont tell Quinn. - He STILL thinks he's the centre of my Universe.. and he's not..! - well a LITTLE after that great episode..... but I believe we're in for more Waggie and Quinn romance stuff.. OH BOY OH BOY! Why?????????????????????????
Leave that crap to us FF writers... and just let the group try to get home.. please!!!

Hi there friends :) Just to let you know that IT'S finally up !! The final instalment of the World's Series (with MANY thanks to my amazing BetaReader - WFG!!). I hope you like it.. it's a different kind of ending.. and one I doubt you'll see in the show! If you enjoyed it..please let me know by writing a snippet into my Guestbook for my Fanfiction!
I'm doing another one up soon, and influenced by an AMAZING story I've read online recently.. it's definitely a QW one... and definitely a NC-17 (or here in Australia 18yrs +) one..... I'll let you know when it's up.. so to speak ;-D
Speaking of thing's I've been up to lately.. it would seem an email I sent to Cleavant Derricks has hit the heights!!! His wife apparently passed it onto the Head of Publicity at SciFi Channel for me.. and I can well imagine that *Slida* is now blacklisted on ALL chats etc there :).... not really (or at least I hope not!) cos I sent the email to CD in the hope that he would let Jerry know to watch the Internet.. as there's quite a lot happening out there and his name's being mentioned a lot! I thought the guy needed to know that! and the fact that us fans are worried about no 5th season.. (but if they keep pushing Quinn and Maggie down my throat.. I'm not going to bother to watch anyway!! sorry.. but I wont.. Let them stick to SCI-FI stuff.. and leave the romance writing to us fans! The show really doesn't need it.. (unless Wade returns hahahahahaha - then I'll change my tune!)
I have also received emails in the past week in association with the one I sent out.. which states categorically that Sabrina Lloyd left because of Kari.. and that Kari was nasty and mean to people in the general Crew.. Gee.. I just cant see *that* - now can you??? (like fun!) Considering Peckinpaws.. scathing email in regard to this topic last year.. I guess he was the one that decided that if it was either Wade or Maggie that went.. then the LESS endowed Wade got the boot - "Bye! thanks for all your years of hard work and loyalty.. don't let the door slam your toush on the way out dear!" This information apparently came from an inside source and that is why I'm including it here!
Lots of people emailed me with their theories etc..but I will not put them here.. because they are just theories.. and I dont' want to promote that crap... sorry! But as I said.. the above comes from an actual worker.. so I've included it here....
But you know.. if I thought the email was actually going to get to Cleavant.. (in which I ask him to phone Jerry about something) I would have included my home phone number and address... ahahaha Only joking! Wouldn't mind the guy coming in here now and then though.. but how would we know??? Hmmmm?
Well,apart from that.. I'm busy on a new theatre show at the moment.. which keeps me off the streets at night :)

Hi there troupe :) Things are kinda rocky here in the basement - I have a cold! So I'm not up to the usual spark and wit (if there ever was any ;-D ).
Just to let you know.. I hear the rumours that have passed by this Basement so far:
- they are secretly filming 5 more episodes of Sliders - maybe a new ending to the show.. I know Cleavant said that Sabrina was in LA recently. ...
but..
-they are NOT secretly filming 5 more episodes of Sliders - and that all the staff have been released from their contracts, and that the offices are closed down for the Summer. Mighty good try by Shannen though, to get through to Jerry's office! 10 points girl!
and...
- That there are a number (7?) of scripts lying around that are meant to be for the 5th season.
but...
- That nothing has been finalised about the 5th season.
and...
- That Jerry will not be picked up because he is too expense (come on! He's not Leonardo DiCaprio or Harrison Ford here! He's done one or two movies.. and what's he busy with this summer? anyone heard?) Personally I think if Jerry were to leave he'd be doing *himself* a dis-service, but hey! who am I to say?
but...
- That Jerry IS coming back for season 5 if it's picked up. He's there until there is no more Sliders according to one magazine article. (So was that his ironic way of letting us know that there is no more seasons?? Hmmmm??)
as well as ..
- We have fans threatening never to watch Jerry again if he leaves Sliders.. Hmm?
and...
- We have people angry cos he's said he's hoping for a 5th season and now it looks like he'll leave.. which means that they wont want a new season without Quinn... etc etc etc
phew!!!
It's all totally valid stuff.. but I burnt out on the Maggie argument months ago... sorry!

* For those waiting - I have finished the final World story and it's with the Beta Readers now! Only a few more days and I'll put it up :)
* I'm nearing the end of my MUSIC page. People have been sending me songs that they have heard after reading my fanfiction and they feel that the song is somehow connected to the story. I'm grateful to all who have done this for me.. and will endeavour to put stuff up soon!
* I'm almost done with a whole new Jerry O'Connell section of the basement. (and NO this doesn't make me a JODser vFS!!! Just someone with Waaaaaay toooooo many piccys of the guy going to seed in my files.. so I thought I'd share :)
* I have a friend who made up this unique page for us who attend the Slidervision and as soon as my head clears I'll be uploading it too :)

Well, I have just finished typing up an article with Tracy Torme titled, Slide Away, which appeared in the Cult Times, April 1998. I have reproduced this article without permission, so please do not copy it from here. If you want to link to it, that's fine, but just let me know via an email, please :) The photos from this article will be up in a day or two.. scanner's having a holiday :( Hence, the two pages of typing I have just done :((
I also have another article, mostly with Jerry, but it really doesn't have anything new.. just how wonderful it is to work with each other and Jerry manages to embarrass himself (yet again) by gushing on about a 'cute' gal... so, too many cringe factors in that article for me.. I really did just buy it for the pictures.. there's one of Jerry in the makeup chair and another two where he's doing a stunt... these pictures are taken from the final episode of Season Four (I believe)... they'll take a day or two to surface .....
I'm writing like mad at the moment.. although I seem to have lost my happy thoughts.. it has been pointed out to me that I capture the characters better than the current writers have.. I'm not too sure about that.. but it did make me think about where the characters were heading to now... I mean Wa... opppps! sorry Maggie (I get those two mixed up now.. they seem soooo alike!) is getting better.. but a little bit too much like someone we all know and love... although her *friendship* with Quinn is far more tactile than Wade and Quinn were.. not necessarily a bad thing..
Remmie: Yeah a lot of people have dissed him.. but you know.. he's been in prison for 3 months.. I think it would be more unrealistic for him NOT to have changed.. and God Bless his little cotton socks.. cos he's the only one missing Wade!!!
Quinn: DONT even get me started on this one! WHAT is happening here??? Jerry is *walking* through the bloody role!!! I know the guy's overloaded with work and all.. and too many parties with his "bro" and "cute gals" maybe.. but geez!!! Wake up boy! Where are Quinn's facial expressions gone?? Where has his compassion for his sliding companion [Wade] gone???
Read the Article above... Tracy Torme and I agree on just about EVERYTHING about the show.. (though I was surprised by his comments about JRD)

I have been lucky enough to sit down and watch the first five episodes of the new season so far... and I must say.. it IS a big improvement on the last season. I had a wee problem with Maggie being too much like Wade (I know.. poor writer's cant get it right ;-) ) but I've written my concerns to Marc Scott Zircee and he has taken the time to reply (wonderful man that he is.. a real trouper!) and said that it was not the intention to make her like that... so there we go..
Other fans (like Tf) have a very good hypothesises as to why Maggie resembles Wade so much and if you want to know.. go to NetForum and look up his posts.. lots of thought went into it. .. it does make sense.. whether it's right or not.. I cant say :)
I saw the episode with the double in it.. and WOO HOO! I'm a Double fantic (always knew I was) .. JOC does a very good job with it though the character loses a few of the good mannerisms as the episode wears on... but thank god for a new and original storyline :)) WAY COOL EP :)
and we get to "meet" Colin on Friday.. so I've been really excited about the new season this past week...if it continues this way.. it's IS going to be all the actors have touted it to be....
Also, no fear of JOC and Charlie not having that elusive on screen chemistry.. because these two really do come across as brothers who get along well and bounce off each other well.. there's a good article written up in the Net Forum.. go read it.. a few mistakes in it.. but what the hey!

I've finally gotten around to putting up some more of my FanFiction ..... So you might want to scoot across to the library and have a wee look at them.. you dont have to of course.... it's just a suggestion....
I've upgraded the Charlie O'Connell page, because basically it said nothing because I knew nothing. Now I know a little bit more, so I've put it up now. What's that? You know more, too? Do you? Well then.. come on...... tell me ! I'm dying to know ;-) Just between you and me (and that nosy little Peeper up there) I'm not going to automatically accept Charlie as a suitable replacement. Just because he shares a gene pool with a 'certain someone' does not, in my opinion anyway, give one automatic talent. Nope, in all honesty and fairness, I should be as skeptical about him as I was about Maggie. I think that's only fair. And only then, can I offer my opinion on him.
I've upgraded the front page, as you would have noticed on your way in. Did you see Quinn around? I think he's showing some new person around the basement. Least he was last time I saw him.
I've added some fanfiction to my site.
I've updated the Acquired Props List too, as Renata wanted to stake her claim! Hmm, that reminds me, just where did I put that sliding gear that Remmie gave me.. ??
I've done up a quick page for Wade and Quinn.. Those two really should have got it together earlier.. I kept telling him!!! But did the boy listen? No! Now it's too late, but at least we have these pictures to remind us of what could have happened!
I've updated my Maggie page too. Added that horrible little rumour bit in it. If you dont know what I mean BEWARE because it contains spoilers now! Dont worry! I had a real go at Quinn for kissing Maggie infront of Wade, by the way! And, as I'm such a lady, I cannot repeat what he said!
So that's about it for the time being. Quinn and I have a plan though. He wants to set up this room, you know, for Wade. Which I think is a good thing, dont you? Absence can make the heart grow fonder, so they say, and any way of keeping him from those iron clutches of Maggie, well..... (sigh) though I shouldn't be mean about her. He's really quite fond of her now, said it took a while, but she's part of the team now and I guess I'll have to give her another go, too. Between you, me and that peeper again, I'm looking forward to seeing her changes. (Maybe I don't mind her as much as I first thought??? Hmmm ...) Wont stop me putting up that Wade shrine though ;-)) I'll let you know when we've done it, okay!

Oh, there he is now.. I see he's going to accompany you through the vortex, so that will be nice. Always nice to have company when doing these things....isn't it... ? Well I shall not keep you!
