Songs for Slida's Stories.....
When I write my FanFiction I tend to use songs within the story for inspiration and ambience. Usually the song is intended to be a background thing, and the focus should still be on the action. But they both interact so much that I have to write them together.
Now, I love to use songs because I think they lend a certain atmosphere to my work. But I worry that they dont work well with the story, in the way that they have to be set out to interlace the action with the words. I tend to write the song words in italics and leave the action in normal text.
And it seems that I'm not the only one to be inspired by songs when it comes to my FanFiction. I have a few people email me with songs that they feel suit or sum up my stories. I am grateful to these people, who go to the effort of getting the words for me and sending them to me, letting me know which story suited the songwords etc.
Please feel free to add to this list. I am more than happy to include your songs here, but I do ask that you hunt up the lyrics for me.. and let me know which FanFiction you think it suits, and as Julie Tharp has done for me also, which Point of View (POV) you see the song coming from.
