Basic Technical Rope Access Training - Working At Height

Rope access allows our trained and highly experienced rope technicians / linesmen to reach and work on the most inaccessible site.

This training programme provides the Basic Technical level of training for those using ropes to access their worksite. Candidates will be taught to be responsible for their own equipment and safety (moving around) while developing skilled techniques for any specific height problems.

With ever increasing range of jobs and a whole range of high-tech rope access equipment, working at height will never be safe if they (workers) are not properly trained.

What you should know about PETZL harnesses in particular !
Because of unceasing efforts to improve the strength, lifetime, the look and the lightness of its harnesses. Petzl has been the market leader for a long time.

Petzl place great importance on the components and the basic materials they use.
    -  quality of polyester or polyamide webbing,
    -  abrasion resistance,
    -  treatment for U.V. resistance,
    -  quality and effect of dyes used,
    -  weaving techniques,
    -  water resistance of webbing,
    -  choice of thread used for stitching.

But it is necessary to think of the comfort and the life expectancy of the harness before manufacture. Ergonomic design and durability are often linked : good positioning of stitching and webbing limits the wear on them, reduces distortion, and maintains freedom of movement. And if a fall occurs, a good distribution of the impact force over the user's body, combined with the use of a shock absorber, ensures that the fall is arrested gently.

Petzl harnesses are submitted to strict quality controls throughout the manufacturing process. Their identification number allows traceability through all the production processes from weaving  the tape to finished product. Of course, they conform to the requirements of the relevant European standards.

The 3 year guarantee covers only defects in the manufacture of the product. Wear and tear is not covered by the guarantee.
