A SOUTH AFRICAN CARP
ANGLER'S DIARY
Welcome to Sunny South Africa , for our foreign visitors I have included
a little map of the country . I will not get into the demographics and poletics
on the republic , instead I will try and concentrate on Carp Angling in South
Africa and informing other Carp anglers from all over about the different techniques
used by us and fellow anglers to get their reels screaming and hearts racing
!
I live on the banks(well almost) of the Vaal River , this river feeds
various dams in South Africa and are full of Carp and other species , worth
mentioning is the Yellow Fish , regarded by some as one one of the ultimate
sportfishing species.There's not plenty of this speciments swimming around and
to my South African friends I kindly ask to return that yellow to its home !
I have mainly hunted for carp in the Vaal River system , and I will try and
give detailed desriptions of the various swims and the methods used . I an no
expert , I have 40lb personal best and a lot of scars to show and stories to
tell , go ahead click a button or two and maybe you will learn something !
