This is an A.Lange & Sohne precision clock. It is made in 1900 with the participation of Richard Lange. Lange made very few pendulum clocks since they built them for regulating their own watches and their clocks were not for sale.

What is unusual about this clock is it features precision seconds-beating clock with gravity-escapement and a Grether-type tourbillon carriage with second-hand mounted on the pivot of 4th wheel at 6:00 position. For friction-free operation, the 4th-wheel and escape-wheel are pivoted in high-grade jewels and mounted on gold chatons. Possible the most advantage escapement at that time.

It has 35 day movement mounted under a silvered dial with a see-through hole in the dial for observing the amazing tourbillon. The type-3 Riefler pendulum with Huygens cursor is gravity-driven by the weight of the two balls. The pendulum and cursor were made in Munich and delivered to Glashutte for this clock. Of course, this superb clock house in a nicely finished mahogany case.
